The European Open Feedback Culture project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, has just published its second newsletter, featuring updates on the progress of an initiative that aims to bring the culture of open feedback to small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This edition reviews the international train-the-trainer workshop held in Yecla from 13 to 15 January, organised by AMUEBLA, which was attended by partners from Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Poland. Over the course of three days, the consortium teams worked on aligning teaching methodologies and developing practical skills to deliver training on open feedback, effective communication and creating environments of psychological safety in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newsletter also includes an interview with Bruna Dias, a project lead at Edit Value (Portugal), who highlights the lack of psychological safety as one of the main barriers faced by SMEs when giving and receiving feedback, and emphasises the project\u2019s role as a \u2018gateway\u2019 for people without specialist training to learn how to turn criticism into a learning tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the newsletter outlines the key principles of the Master Guide for Trainers \u2013 one of the project\u2019s key outputs \u2013 which sets out a practical three-step method for receiving feedback: welcoming the message with an open mind, listening first to understand, and building a bridge between one\u2019s own perspective and that of the other person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
