The European FITT-NESS<\/strong> project has concluded its phase of collaborative work between partners and businesses in Palermo, with a final consortium meeting and the third and final Twinning Action, at which AMUEBLA was present alongside business representatives from the Region of Murcia, Northern Portugal and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The consortium meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the progress made during the project, review the results achieved and coordinate the final actions before its conclusion. Beyond the remaining tasks, the meeting was also an opportunity to reflect on the value generated by the various activities and to begin exploring possible ways of ensuring continuity, so as to capitalise on the knowledge, methodologies and collaborative network built up throughout FITT-NESS<\/strong>, paving the way for what could be a future second phase of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Palermo hosted the latest Twinning Action, which on this occasion focused on the Sicilian business sector<\/strong>. Although it has a smaller industrial base than other territories involved in the project, the region is home to companies and stakeholders with a remarkable capacity for specialisation and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme combined technical content with innovation in the furniture value chain, led by Fondazione MICS<\/strong>, alongside business planning, market analysis, brand building and artificial intelligence applied to marketing. It also featured a session on the new environmental requirements (Minimum Environmental Criteria and regulations to combat greenwashing) and the presentation of the FITT-NESS Matching Tool<\/strong>, a tool developed as part of the project to facilitate the identification of opportunities and connections between companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also included visits to Mobili Frisina and Team Sof\u00e0<\/strong>, which gave participants the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the business vision, the focus on sustainability and the integration of design with digital processes at two Sicilian home furnishings companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For AMUEBLA<\/strong>, these Twinning Actions have, throughout the project, provided a direct channel for bringing companies into contact with the production realities of other European regions, fostering the exchange of experiences in the face of shared challenges relating to competitiveness, innovation, digitalisation and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
