GREENIFY presents the results on environmental education and STEM in Europe and Spain

The GREENIFY project has carried out an extensive study to assess the state of education in sustainability and STEM disciplines among young women, teachers and businesses in Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium and Spain. A total of 276 testimonials were collected, resulting in four national reports and a European summary with key conclusions for the project.

Among the main findings are:

  • Growing interest among young women, with an average score of 3.6 out of 5.
  • Difficulties in accessing education from rural areas, reported by 64.5% of participants.
  • Persistence of gender stereotypes, which, according to 77.2% of participants, continue to influence their choice of studies and careers.

With this report, the project aims to go further; it is a call to action to move towards a more sustainable and inclusive future. Understanding the existing barriers is the first step towards ensuring that more girls and young women feel empowered to develop their talents in these areas.

GREENIFY works towards this goal and provides a document with specific results for Spain, which gives a detailed understanding of the situation in our country.
