The FurnitureLCA project enters the practical phase to analyze the product life cycle

The FurnitureLCA project continues to make progress and is entering a particularly significant phase, focusing on the practical application of the activities carried out to date.

Over the past few months, work has focused on producing case studies on items of furniture. These case studies play a key role, as they enable the theory of life cycle assessment (LCA) to be applied to real-world product scenarios.

Through these studies, the project is making progress in defining key aspects: what data needs to be collected, how to structure the calculations, and how to interpret the results to support decision-making in the business sector.

At the same time, the consortium is continuing to expand the Knowledge Hub through an AI-powered digital assistant. This tool aims to facilitate access to technical information relating to the environmental impact of furniture.

With these developments, FurnitureLCA is steadily moving closer to its main objective, which is to make product life cycle analysis an accessible and practical tool for companies in the furniture sector.
