AMUEBLA and the other partners in the European STEAM Coach project gathered in Eindhoven for the final face-to-face meeting of this European initiative. With the project entering its final stages, the meeting served both to take stock of the progress made and to lay the foundations for its future continuation.
The day began with a look back at the project’s first two years. During the session, the partners reflected on the main achievements, the key lessons learnt from the process and a big question for the future: where would we like to see STEAM education in five years’ time?
As the project officially comes to an end on 31 October, one of the main focuses of the meeting was to examine how the results achieved can continue to generate value in the long term. During the meeting, the key tools and resources developed to ensure the project’s sustainability were reviewed:
- Resource Kit and Learning Hub with training materials.
- E-vignettes and multimedia awareness-raising campaigns.
- The European collaboration network established over the past two years.
The discussions focused on how these tools will continue to be used, shared and utilised to enhance collaboration in the fields of education and technology.
Aside from the working sessions, the partners had the opportunity to explore Strijp-S, a former industrial complex belonging to the multinational Philips, which has now been transformed into a vibrant neighbourhood of creativity, technology and innovation right in the heart of Eindhoven; an ideal setting for a project of a technological and transformative nature.
A valuable and productive gathering for reflection, sharing experiences and strategic planning. The STEAM Coach project is nearing its goal, but the knowledge, tools and connections forged will remain very much alive and will continue to drive the future.
