Regional experts discuss in Murcia how to boost green skills through microcredentialsOn 4 June, the AMUEBLA association, with the support of the Furniture and Wood Technology Centre (CETEM), held in Murcia the second round of the national consultation workshop of the European project MASTERY, focused on the promotion of microcredentials as a tool for the development of green skills.
The meeting brought together representatives of the two public universities of the Region of Murcia, vocational training authorities, teaching staff and members of the regional development agency, with the aim of reflecting on how micro-credentials can contribute to training professional profiles more adapted to environmental challenges in sectors such as manufacturing, construction or furniture.
During the session, the policy methodology proposed by the MASTERY project was presented, generating a constructive dialogue among participants, who provided key inputs for its practical application in the regional context.
Among the most important conclusions of the workshop, the following were highlighted:
✔️ The need to establish a common terminology and shared guidelines to favour a unified understanding.
✔️ A general agreement on the value of collaboration between different actors in the educational and productive ecosystem.
✔️ The identification of micro-credentials as an agile, flexible and learning-centred solution to respond to evolving vocational qualification needs.
The initiative represents a further step towards building a more dynamic and inclusive training system aligned with the goals of sustainability and digitalisation.
