The FurnitureLCA project presents its second newsletter

FurnitureLCA, European project involving AMUEBLA, continues its mission to provide SMEs in the furniture sector with advanced tools for measuring environmental impact in order to achieve the transition to a greener and more sustainable economy. This is made possible by providing small and medium-sized enterprises and vocational education and training (VET) students with training that enables them to carry out life cycle assessments (LCA) of products related to the furniture sector.

On this occasion, the consortium presents its second newsletter highlighting the latest developments in the project. One of the areas of work currently being focused on by the team is the compilation of legislative regulations, standards and scientific publications for the environmental analysis of products, eco-design and eco-innovation in the furniture industry. This helps employees and SMEs in the sector to understand environmental reports, interpret EPDs and prepare LCAs.

On the other hand, the partners have been working over the last few months on developing a master methodological guide that will serve as a basis for training companies in the correct assessment of the environmental impact of their furniture throughout its entire life cycle. This guide will enable users to develop skills based on real-life case studies through a digital knowledge assistant.
