NewEcoSmart drives green and digital transition in rural areas with meeting in Naples

The NewEcoSmart project consortium met on 28-29 January in Naples to advance its mission to promote sustainability and digitalisation in rural areas. The agenda included the review of key training tools (MOOC, microlearning app and self-diagnosis), the analysis of the pilots in Italy, Spain and Portugal, and the communication strategy for the final phase of the project.

On 29 January, the partners visited Campi Flegrei, where they explored territorial regeneration initiatives that combine sustainability and digital innovation. They also participated in the forum ‘Addressing the Fragility and Vulnerability of People and Places’, together with experts and authorities, to discuss strategies to strengthen rural municipalities through sustainable innovation.

This meeting was a milestone in the promotion of resilient and inclusive development models in Europe.
